Whitchurch Pre-School gives everyone a warm welcome. We strongly believe that children learn through play and being outside in the natural environment. We achieve this by spending the vast majority of our time outdoors; walking, in our garden or the park, and exploring our environment. We believe children are happier, develop greater independence and confidence, become better risk takers and ultimately grow into well rounded little people in our outdoor and forest school setting. We aim to teach the children about their environment; bugs and insects, flowers, trees, rivers and the fields etc., and to respect the world around them. Within this learning environment comes numbers, letters, sounds, shapes and everything the Early Years Foundation Stage asks of us. Your child''s pre-school experience will be family orientated, and our doors are always open. We work together with parents to achieve the very best outcomes for your child.

- Charges are per hour, £5 per hour for 1 year olds, Full day sessions are offered Tuesday to Friday, from 9am to 3pm. £1 per session for consumables including snack, provided.
- Additional Information
- We offer a family friendly, and flexible learning environment to children, offering morning and all day sessions by arrangement. Our stay and play sessions on Wednesdays are great for helping children develop social skills, and build confidence at preschool. We have a unique approach to settling children in, and strongly believe it is best taken slowly and on an individual basis as every child is equally unique. Parents are able to use their funding entitlement at any time during our opening hours, and we are happy to offer individual payment arrangements too. We have an inclusion/equal opportunities policy. Please contact the pre-school with any questions, or if you would like to book a place on the stay and play session.

- We have a ground floor toilets and also a wheelchair accessible toilet. We have good facilities for intimate care for all children, as well as those with additional needs.

- We are happy to adjust our setting in response to individual children''''s needs, and offer a calming area as well as other ''''zones'''' within the setting to meet individual needs. We have a range of sensory toys, including hand operated ride on toys and peanut rolls.
