The Rex Cinema

Since 2009, The Rex at Wareham has been owned and operated by the Purbeck Film Charitable Trust, a not for profit charitable organisation that also runs the Purbeck Film Festival. Based in a Grade 2 Listed building, we pride ourselves on maintaining the unique character of our small-town cinema and the friendly welcome we provide to our patrons. The cinema runs through the marvellous support of some 30 volunteers who turn out in all weathers to keep the movies on the screen.
