Women's Aid

Since 1974 we have been at the forefront of shaping and coordinating responses to domestic abuse. As a federation of over 220 organisations, we provide more than 300 local lifesaving services to women and children across the country. We provide expert training, qualifications and consultancy to a range of agencies. This includes professionals working with survivors or those commissioning domestic abuse services. The 24 Hour National Domestic Violence Helpline on 0808 2000247 (run in partnership with Refuge) and our range of online services, which include the Survivors’ Forum and The Hideout, help hundreds of thousands of women and children every year. We work to ensure women are believed, know abuse is not their fault and that their experiences have been understood. If want to find help in your area, donate goods to a local service, or start volunteering, our online Domestic Abuse Directory is the best place to start.
