Stalking, Domestic Abuse And Sexual Violence Dorset Helpline
The YOU First team of domestic abuse workers offer individual support within refuge/safe house accommodation and/or within the community. Following an assessment our Single Point of Contact (SPOC) team will work with you to personalise the service you receive from a range of options. The domestic abuse teams offer practical and emotional support, risk assessment with the person experiencing abuse and together develop a safety plan that improves safety, reduces risk and is person-centred with safety as the focus. YOU First support people to access crisis accommodation in refuges and safe houses. Children who live in families where there is violence can suffer serious long-term emotional damage. The YOU First children and families team work alongside the non-abusing parent to help each individual come to terms with their experiences.
