All staff will follow any educational care plans that are in place and will attend relevant training courses if needed, working closely with other professionals involved with your family and child. All staff have attended practical inclusion training. We have a SENCO who has accessed ''The Role of the SENCO'' training and an inclusion co-ordinator who has been awarded a MA in Education taking the inclusion pathway. We work together with the local primary schools to enable smooth transitions to the next stage in your child''s life. Settling in sessions at school are organised with peer support, circle of friends strategies are in place so your child will have buddies to provide them with mutual guidance. We invite all local schools to visit your child within the setting and are always happy to share information and ideas with them to help your child''s transition. By supporting your child at home, you will be contributing to your child''s development and wellbeing. We will regularly liaise with you and keep you updated on all aspects of your child''s time at the setting, using observations and assessments and a home/nursery communication book. Home visits can be arranged which help to build up our funds of knowledge about your child. We will endeavour to listen to your child''s voice and adapt our practice accordingly. By building a meaningful, reciprocal relationship with each other, we will be able to work alongside each other to provide the best possible outcomes for your child.
