Moors Valley Country Park Play Areas

At Moors Valley there are two imaginative play areas close to the Visitor Centre. The Adventure Play Area, designed specially for older children, includes a zip slide, huge space net, climbing boulder and a fortress of towers and crossings with a long tube slide. Younger children will be enthralled in the Castle and Sandworks area with its gentle slides and swings, all set inside a safe sand area so don’t forget to bring your bucket and spade too!

Please call or visit our website for further information. Moors Valley Country Park and Forest is open from 8am every day of the year except Christmas Day. Closing time is at 5pm from September to March, at 6pm from April to May (later during Easter holidays) and at 7pm during the summer holidays. Some routes are more accessible than others. Please contact the Rangers if you would like to discuss which of the paths may be most suitable to your needs.
Parking availability information
There are 13 disabled parking spaces in the first car park loop, near to the ice cream kiosk. If your vehicle is exempt from road tax due to disability reasons, that vehicle may park for free (please see website for details).
Toilet facility information
The toilets include a Changing Places standard toilet with tracking hoist system and height adjustable changing bed, an Ambulant Disabled toilet and large family cubicles can be found on the outside of the building.
Other Facilities
An induction loop is available and we are happy to provide large print leaflets on request. A braille version of the map leaflet is available on request. Guide Dogs permitted in the Park.
