Over The Rainbow L.G.B.T Centre

Drop-in, advice, support and information centre for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community of Dorset. Our counselling service is also available for you to discuss problems in a safe, confidential space with a qualified, professional counsellor, helping you to see things from a different perspective, think and act more productively and feel more confident in yourself. We work closely with local drug and alcohol agencies if you feel you need a referral to a specialist service.

The services we offer are available in person or over the telephone. We are staffed by nurses from West Dorset General Hospitals NHS Trust and supported by the community. The centre is also home to Dorset Police's lesbian and gay liaison officers and Space Youth Group, a youth group for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender young people under the age of 24, as well as a range of counselling and affiliated support services.
