Pamphill Pre-School Nursery
We offer quality and individually tailored care, in a warm, happy and loving environment. Children have free access to the indoor and outdoor environments, supported through a highly experienced staffing team, whom have experience in special needs. All enquiries welcome. "Outstanding" Ofsted 2016. We have close links with the Primary School we are attached to and in the local area and work with them to make sure transitions are smooth and happy for all children. We operate an open-door policy and encourage all parents to talk to us about any concerns. We will endeavour to do our very best to support you as a family and your child, we really hope to build a firm partnership with you and your child.

We are very inclusive to the individual needs and operate a child initiated planning system. Free flow to secure outdoor area. Parents can use their early education funding entitlement Monday to Friday, 9am to 3pm. Provision has an inclusion / equal opportunities policy. - We are a very inclusive setting and happy to offer a place to any family whom require any additional support: medical, physical or learning. We have lots of experience with children with medical needs e.g. epilepsy/ allergies/ gastro pump fed, along with learning and physical difficulties: cerebral palsy, speech and language delays and disorders, vision impairments/ blind, ASD and global delay. Our ethos is to ensure every child, whatever their individual need, has opportunities to access quality nursery provision.
Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Local Offer
- Support for children and young people with SEN and disabilities
All children are individuals and will develop at different rates. Each child is allocated a Key Person who is responsible for their learning and development. The Key Person will work closely with the child and family to ensure their needs are met and to build a good relationship. They will collate a learning journal on line that has written observations and photographs of the child’s achievements. Parents have access to this and we encourage them to be involved with their child’s learning journal. If a child needs support with their learning and strategies we have tried have not worked we may seek advice from outside agencies, such as portage and SALT and other relevant health professionals This would only be done with parental consent. SEND Provision - We have an accessible building via a ramp and the room can be adapted to allow for each individual’s needs. We fully support children with EHC plans and we can provide 1:1 support within the nursery if necessary. We have a range of aids to help support children with communication difficulties within the setting. We have staff trained in PEIC-D, Signalong, SMART targets, CAF and Supporting Behaviour. A Special Educational Needs and Disability coordinator works within the setting, Debbie Gould. She will work with the child’s Key Person, Parents and Professionals to make sure all the child’s needs are met. She will fill out all relevant paperwork discussing with the parents what the next steps will be and how we will work together to achieve the best possible outcomes for the child and send supporting reports to the relevant professionals. She will also claim any additional funding available to buy resources and additional training for staff.
