- Every child is welcome at Tops, no matter what their health, gender, culture or circumstances and we will work together with parents or carers of the child to provide the activities and attention that he or she needs to develop to their best potential.
Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Local Offer
- Support for children and young people with SEN and disabilities
We have a SENCO on site who has received Local Authority Borough training. We also update our knowledge and qualifications through attending regular networking sessions in the local area. Currently we are supporting children who have been diagnosed with Autism and ASD. We work closely with various agencies to ensure that we are doing the best for the child. We work with our local early years advisor, portage, speech and language therapists, health visitors, paediatricians, children centres and the local family partnership zones so that early intervention is in place for the child's future. Similarly we also work with other settings, if that child attends them and in these instance would work in partnership with one another. Should parents require further information regarding this matter then they can contact the Nursery.
