Jack and Jill Nursery
The setting has been providing quality childcare since 1970. We provide opportunities for children to learn through play, with a free flow system to allow choices for outdoor play. Children are encouraged by experienced and qualified staff to explore, experiment and make decisions to grow and develop. Our hope is that each child leaves us happy, confident and bursting with enthusiasm, ready to take on the challenges of school life and a whole new world of learning.

Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Local Offer
- Support for children and young people with SEN and disabilities
Our SENCO (Sally Jameson) has completed extensive training in all areas of SEND and works closely with other professionals such as Health visitors, Portage, Paediatrician's and speech and language to ensure we offer a very inclusive and welcoming environment regardless of children's needs and abilities. We currently support several children on the autistic spectrum, as well as children with speech and language delay, limited mobility and global developmental delay. We tailor our curriculum to each individual child ensuring they are progressing to the very best of their abilities and providing support either within the setting or from outside agencies where necessary, enabling every child to reach their full potential. We welcome input and support from all agencies working with each child. Every child is assessed on a continuous basis and where necessary referrals may be made to other health professionals such as speech and language or paediatrician. We work in close partnership with the parents gathering evidence from our observations, the parents view and where possible health visitors before making any referrals and offer support and guidance to each parent during the referral process and then afterwards to meet the child's changing needs. Please contact us for more details.
