Additional Information
We raise funds, coordinate expert consultants and volunteers, run projects and work with other organisations that embrace innovative technologies, encouraging people with communications disabilities and their supporters to try new ways of communicating. Current projects involve working with volunteers in special education needs schools to train pupils and their supporters in the use of computer-aided video communication to help them build confidence in communication. iMuse is another project where we are working with museums and visitors to try out various types of mobile device such as smartphones and iPads.
It is recommended that you always check with providers that their service meets your requirements and that any listed activities are still running before you attend. The Dorset Family Information Service does not accept any responsibility for the accuracy of the information or the suitability of any of the services described.
