Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Local Offer

Support for children and young people with SEN and disabilities

William Barnes prides itself on being a very inclusive school. We are deeply committed to catering for all needs, no matter what they are, to enable all children to achieve the best they can. Children have special educational needs if they have a learning difficulty which calls for special education provision to be made for them. They may be finding it more difficult to learn than the majority of children their own age or they may have a disability which stops them from making full use of the educational facilities provided for the children of the same age in school. William Barnes has a team of very skilled and experienced teachers who work closely together to make sure everyone is making progress. Please see our website for our latest SEND information report and to read our SEND policy. You will also find information about our Accessibility Plan and Medicines and Intimate care policies. The school follows the guidance contained in the SEN Code of Practice 0 - 25 years
