The Blue Pool Nature Reserve & Tearooms

The Blue Pool forms part of the Furzebrook Estate which traces its history back nearly 400 years. Formally a clay-pit, dug by hand and abandoned in the early 19th Century to be naturally filled with rainwater and the colour phenomenon of its waters. Stretch your legs and explore amongst the trees to discover ‘Little Pool’ with damsel and dragon flies. A hidden gem, Little Pool; home to great crested newts and several rare species of dragonfly. tearooms, wonderful Eco Coffees, Purbeck Ice Cream, Gift Shop, Milkshake and Smoothy Bar, Children’s Playground and much more.
