Mummy's Star is the only charity in the UK and Ireland supporting women and their families affected by cancer during pregnancy shortly after a birth. The charity focuses on supporting women and families where the: woman is diagnosed or treated for cancer during her pregnancy, the woman is diagnosed or treated for cancer within a year of her giving birth, or the family in the first year of a birth who lose their female partner as a result of cancer. We provide a single point for medical advice and guidance, a small grants programme to provide financial relief, and campaigning and advocacy. The charity is run by volunteers, all of whom have first-hand experience of this situation either from a medical perspective, going through this personally, caring for a partner or dealing with the early loss of a loved one.
