Jelly Babies Day Nursery
Jelly Babies Day Nursery is a small dedicated setting situated within the grounds of Weymouth College. We accomodate up to 32 children a day and have a fantastic staff team, all passionate and proactive at making your child''s experience a great one. The nursery provides a unique opportunity for children to explore and grow into confident and independent learners and at Jelly Babies we aim to provide high quality care and education for all children who attend, providing an inclusive environment and building relationships with all parents, children and professionals who utilise us. We work closely with Weymouth College and their childcare team to ensure the next generation of Practitioners are learning at a high quality and as children's early years are the most important, we ensure a postive, enjoyable and memorable journey until their transition to school.

Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Local Offer

- Jelly Babies Day Nursery welcomes all children to the setting! We have a dedicated Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Co-Ordinator (SENDCO) with a wide range of experience and training. All children, no matter their needs, are accepted if we can make reasonable adjustments to accommodate their needs. Firstly, we will arrange in-depth settling in sessions where provision can be discussed with the staff and starting points documented. All children are designated a dedicated key-worker and this helps build a strong relationship from the beginning. We will endeavour to access training even before arrival to allow continuous provision and we encourage this to be accessed by all staff such as PEIC-D, Practical Inclusion, sign-along etc as well as specialist training based on individual needs. Practitioners will observe, monitor and adapt their own practices, strategies and provision to meet individual needs, wherever practicable. ¦Practitioners work alongside parents for in-depth partnership and we utilise a strong multi-agency approach, including Paediatricians, Portage, Speech and Language and Educational Psychologists to develop well-rounded and supportive planning. Parents are consulted all the way through and encouraged to participate so the setting can deliver robust and insightful strategies to help your child learn and develop. ¦Jelly Babies believes in a holistic approach and above all, we want every child to be safe, happy and enjoying their journey with us – whether it is a little support by the setting to help meet development milestones or a larger scale plan for future outcomes, Jelly Babies will endeavour to ensure every child and adult is treated inclusively.¦
