St James' C E V C First School

Academy School. St. James’ is a small village first school set in a beautiful location just north of Wimborne. We are committed to giving every individual the opportunity and support to develop their full potential within our happy, caring Christian community. We adopt a child centred approach, so the provision and adaptations made for different children will vary. The school thus runs various onsite intervention programmes including: Speech and Language, Learn to Move (co-ordination difficulties), Dyslexia and Literacy Difficulties, and Emotional Literacy Support (ELSA). Our physical environment has been adapted to facilitate the use of wheelchairs; including a lift, ramps, the widening of doors to washroom facilities, and special washroom facilities. Outside we have a tyre park, a hard play area, a large field, climbing and balancing equipment, a secure pond, a maze, and quiet areas.
