Mrs Paula Clarke
I provide a warm caring homely environment for children to learn and have fun in. I provide many stimulating activities for the children and I encourage creative / messy play and lots of cooking and musical activities. We have a dedicated playroom and endless range of resources and toys. I have a large fully equipped garden with permanent gazebo to enable all year round outside play and countryside and animals nearby. I work in partnership with parents to provide the best possible care and education for their child.

- Additional Information
- I am a Ofsted Registered Childminder with 32 years’ experience working with children. I attend Local toddler and baby sensory groups where possible. We have a large garden, large rooms and a happy friendly family environment. We live in the countryside and have farm animals nearby. We spend a lot of time outside experiencing nature first hand through a lot of forest school activities in nearby woodlands and parks. We have a dedicated playroom with endless amounts of toys and equipment available. My aim is to provide a safe happy and secure environment for children in my care, so they can learn and experience things through play and activities provided. I have good links with local Nursery, Pre-schools and schools. I can be flexible with times. Hours to be negotiated. I am on the Accredited Plus phase (NCMA) of the Dorset Quality Improvement Scheme (DQIS). I have a level 5 Early Years Degree. My Recent Ofsted inspection was Outstanding in every category. Parents can use their 2 and 3 years early education funding entitlement at any time during our opening hours.

Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Local Offer
- Support for children and young people with SEN and disabilities
My aim and passion is to support all children with whatever needs they may have and for all our children to be confident, emotionally secure, sociable, happy, and resilient, be willing to try new things and take risks, be caring and develop a love for learning. I value each child’s unique strengths and challenge them to fulfil their learning potential through tailored activities. I am committed to ensuring that each child and their family feel welcome and included and to enable myself to gain the best knowledge to help children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities who may enter my setting I regularly attend additional training to update and extend my knowledge. I have attended Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO) training and the ENABLED childminder course for Sen. As I will be your child's Key worker please contact me to discuss specific requirements or adjustments for your child which will enable us to build a close relationship together for parent partnership. If a child needs medical or personal care I will ensure this is done with the child's best interests and parents full input. Referrals with parents’ consent and input will be made to CAHMS Dorset. I will help you with this process and continue to offer support throughout the time your child is with me. I promise to listen and to be sensitive, open and honest in our communications with you.
