The Chatterboxes Project

The Chatterboxes’ main aim is to help towards raising awareness of disabilities and create a community that is equal to all, while still being surrounded by laughter and friendship. With three groups running per week, there are a bunch of activities to take part in including: filmmaking, cookery, arts and crafts, magazine design and more, all alongside peer to peer support. AQA Awards are also completed by members as well as using a peer mentoring scheme throughout our projects. Young members also deliver awareness workshops/ training in the community, create youth friendly literature and organise community awareness events.
