Lorton Meadows Reserve & Wildlife Centre

A haven of peaceful green meadows, hedgerows and woodlands that are full of insect life, with butterflies, moths, bugs, beetles, dragonflies and grasshoppers all to be found on a sunny summer’s day. We have several trails around the reserve to suit all ages, from the shortest Children’s Wild-Nature Trail, around the picnic area and Withy Woods, to longer trails exploring the whole reserve, and several trails in between. At the heart of Lorton Meadows Nature Reserve is the Conservation Centre - relax and watch the live cameras for glimpses of feeding birds in the winter and nesting birds in the spring and summer, or buy one of our wildlife guides so you can spot nature on your own patch.
