Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Local Offer

Support for children and young people with SEN and disabilities

Little Owls Pre-school and Nursery provides an environment in which all children with special educational needs are supported, to reach their full potential. To ensure we identify the specific needs of a child with special educational needs, we have two members of staff who are fully trained Special Educational Needs Co-ordinators (SENCO). Using the graduated approach, the Little Owls team adapt their practise to incorporate a range of SEN strategies throughout their pre-school sessions, whilst providing a broad and balanced curriculum which is flexible for their needs. If it is identified that greater support is needed, we will inform parents and together develop an Individual Education plans so their next steps and working targets are appropriately trailed for the induvial needs. For Further support we work in partnership with a range of professionals such as Portage, heath visitors, speech and language , CAMS and many more.
