Support for children and young people with SEN and disabilities

We have been running over 30 years and are very experienced working with all children and specialise in those with additional needs. We have a vast range of resources including a sensory room, 2 playrooms, a separate quiet room, a hall and a small outside play area. We have a high ratio of staff to children to ensure the children get a high level of attention and are well cared for. We take into account each child''s specific needs, dietary requirements and health needs to make sure that they are properly looked after and encourage their individual therapists to visit the group to work with the children and staff and update their programmes of therapy. We differentiate the curriculum to suit each child’s need and a variety of activities are on offer to enable each child to play at the level they are learning. Each child has an online learning journey for everyone to be able to see the child''s progress and achievements, parents are able to access their own child’s journal and add comments and photos to it. The setting is fully accessible to anyone. We are all on one level with flat entry and easy access into each room. We encourage our children to be as independent as possible and teach them what life skills we can, depending on the abilities of each child. We are a committee run pre-school and always welcome new committee members, we meet approximately 7 times a year.
